Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction using Response Surface Methodology for Extracting Flavonoids from Padina australis

نویسندگان

چکیده

Seaweed or sea macroalgae are rich in potential compounds which can be used for the treatment of disease. Padina australis is one important brown classes (Phaeophyes). One bioactive P. a phenolic compound and its derivatives (flavonoid). In this research, was collected from Bayah Beach, Banten, Indonesia. For extraction flavonoids australis, ultrasound-assisted (UAE) employed. study, three-level Box-Behnken design (BBD) response surface methodology (RSM) were employed to obtain optimal combination conditions. The effects several independent variables including temperature (30, 50, 70 ℃), time (20, 40, 60 min) ethanol concentration 70%) investigated. result showed that RSM an accurate reliable method predicting total flavonoid content with R2 value 0.9935. UAE conditions highest yield 49.70 ℃ temperature, process under 44.03 min, 47.80% 0.2162% content. Under above conditions, experimental 0.2144+ 0.0035%. predicted values algae not significant differences, it indicating developed models accurate. Therefore, using effective australis.
